Nederlandse Testdag / Dutch Testing Day 2014
Sharing visions on software testing in the world of research, education and business
On 17th November 2014 we organized the 20th edition of the Dutch Testing Day. This year, it took take place in the Eenhoorn in Amersfoort.
The Dutch Testing Day is a one day conference, covering all aspects of software testing. This conference has a long tradition of being a non-commercial event where scientists, lecturers, and practitioners from the industry meet and share ideas; for example about the latest trends in the research and technologies of software testing, open problems in the industry, industrial experience, or experience in teaching.
For 2014 the conference theme was "sharing visions on software testing in the world of research, education and business", symbolizing a search towards synergy between these worlds.
Traditionally, to make the event as accessible as possible, the visitors of the Dutch Testing Day are not required to pay any fee. The number of visitors has been increasing in the recent years, with about 25 - 35% coming from universities and hoge scholen (Dutch applied universities).
Chairwoman of The Dutch Testing Day was Stella Kuin. Stella Kuin is the director of the Institute for ICT at the University of Applied Sciences, Hogeschool Utrecht. With four Bachelor programmes in IT and a Masters in Informatics, the University of Applied Sciences provides a complete range of IT courses. She worked as CIO at the Kadaster and has extensive experience with programme and project management in complex organizations.
